Fitting Room Diaries: Nordstrom (Sept. 17th)

Yesterday I made a trip up to Fishers to go visit the Nordstrom. I think it might be the only one in Indiana honestly? At least it’s the closest to me. I have always been an avid shopper of Nordstrom for a couple years. I especially love the Anniversary Sale they have every year and even after it’s over you can find great deals.

I always like to shop the brands, BP, Caslon, Halogen, Socialite, Adidas, Nike, Articles of Society, and 1822 Denim. I’m sure there are more, but these are my favorites I can think of just off the top of my head. I love getting my basics, jeans, and shoes from Nordstrom. If there is something that is more “trendy” or “on trend” I tend to look at Forever21 because lets face it- trends change, and quickly.

I went to my usual spot in the store and found three things I wanted to try on, which I will share pics below.

First up, I have this sweater from BP. It was only $39! I thought it was a great deal and was super excited to try it on. I kind of liked it, but also not. Hard to explain, like I mentioned in a previous blog, I don’t buy things I’m not in love with. I LOVED the color! They had it available in about 5 other colors I believe. I also loved how the sleeves are baggy. I didn’t like how it made my mid section look. I almost felt like it made me look bigger. I’ve seen this on so many people and its SOO CUTE! However, I didn’t think it was as flattering on me. I was wearing my usual size small, the medium was too boxy.

Up next we have a cute striped tee. I have a thing for stripes, I don’t know why, I just think they are so easy and you can still layer them with something else. It fits true to size. I like how they are light weight and comfortable. Some people don’t like BP basics because they are thinner however, I love them! I have some from years ago! They always bring them back every year sometimes they may just change a thing or two like adding a pocket. I love this purple color SO MUCH and its PERFECT for fall! I can’t wait to layer this and even wear it with just booties and jeans soon! It was only $17!! They also have a camo pattern, another stripe one in black and white, and plain colors!

The last item I picked up in the store itself is this striped tee. It’s the exact same as the previous one just pink with white stripes. It was on sale for $10!! What a steal! Give me all the basics! I’m wearing a size small in both of the tops. I think it’s on sale because it has a more “summery” feel to it. I’m going to Florida next week and I’m definitely taking it with me! Plus we are still having 90 degree weather here in Indiana.

There were also four things I really wanted. Three of them they didn’t have in store so I ended up placing an order, today. I really love the Adidas Tree Foil tops! I think they are so cute and just so easy! I will love wearing this with leggings or my joggers in the fall and even now. They come in sooo many colors! I am usually a size small, but I sized up because of reviews saying if you want a more relaxed fit to size up so I did! It was only $35!

Next, I bought this adorable ruffle top from Caslon. This was the top they did have in store and I really loved it. However, the price tag was a bit more than I was wanting to spend. I couldn’t stop thinking about it though so I had to order it! It was $39. I don’t think the color is accurately portrayed in the photo, it was a bit darker which I liked. I ordered it in a small, usually their tops run true to size for me!

Next, I ordered this adorable button up top from Socialite. It came in black and maroon. I actually wanted the maroon to add more color to my closet, but it sold out so I ordered the black since I really liked the style of the top. It’s on sale currently for $23! It’s origanlly $38! I ordered this top in a medium which is my usual size in this brand.

Last up, we have this BP Raw Edge Scoop Neck Tee. It was only $18! I have it in the Tan color already and really love it. I think it will be great for layering and now I’ll have it in the pink color too :). I have last years black and white striped one. It’s the exact same except it doesn’t have a pocket. I can’t wait to use it for layering this fall and winter! I ordered my usual size small.

That is everything I picked up from Nordstrom this week! I love when I can share fitting room try on’s so you can see how the clothes actually fit. I think it always helps when online shopping especially!
