My Go To Face Routine (As of Now)

I always start my routine off with a good misting all over my face using the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender. Next I like to go in and prime my face. I have been loving Tarte’s new Quench Hydrating Primer. It smells like coconut and it feels like a nice, cooling moisturizer. Needless to say, it’s quickly became holy grail status for me.

Next, I go in with my foundation, two of my current favorites are the Too Faced Dew You foundation and the BareMinerals barePro Performance Wear Liquid foundation. The Too Faced one is more dewy which I enjoy and it has more medium coverage. The BareMinerals foundation is definitely more full coverage on me. I like to use either a beauty sponge to apply my foundation or a brush.

After that, I go in with concealer. I have been loving the Taste Creaseless concealer. I use it after nights when I didn’t quite get enough sleep. It’s very full coverage. I also have been using and loving the Too Faced Born This Way concealer. It’s medium coverage but it feels lightweight on my skin. I like to use a lighter color than my skin tone and make a small triangle under my eye and blend it out with a damp beauty sponge. If I’m feeling real fancy I like to add some to the center of my chin and the center of my forehead almost between my eyebrows. If I have a blemish that needs covered that day I will go in with my Tarte creaseless because it has more coverage and I have a shade that matches my skin tone perfectly.

After concealing, I have been going in and setting my entire face with the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder. I also like to take the new Too Faced Tutti Frutti Banana Powder to brighten up my under eyes after setting them. For my contour I love using the Pixi Beauty Natural Contour Powder. It’s cool toned and the perfect shade to achieve the look that I want. I use a small contour brush and make a fishy face and sweep it on the hollows of my cheeks and sometimes the sides of my forehead.

After applying my contour I like to go in and bronze up my skin. I like bronzing up my face after contouring because I feel like it helps blend everything out just a tad bit better. I don’t like the look of a sharp, carved out contour on my face personally. Some people can rock it and they look fabulous, I am just not one of those gals. The bronzer I have been loving is the new Too Faced Tutti Frutti Pineapple Sun Bronzer. It has the cutest packaging too! The great thing about this product is that it is a duo. You get a highlighter and a bronzer which in all honestly, the highlight is almost too dark for me but if you have a bit of a deeper complexion than I do and lean more light-medium it would be perfect!

Next, I like to go in with a nice blush. I always coordinate my blush to my eye makeup. So for this day I had on a gold shimmer shadow all over my lid and used warmer colors for my eye makeup, so I used a peachy, warm toned blush. If I am wearing cool toned eye makeup I like to reach for a cool toned pink blush or even a blush that almost looks purple. I know, I know, I sound crazy. Trust me. It just give you that babydoll look and its so flattering on everyone! πŸ™‚ My favorite blushes are from MAC, BH cosmetics, Morphe, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Tarte, and Wet N Wild. Too Faced also has some good ones as well.

Lastly, I like to highlight. I highlight my nose, my cheeks, and my chin. My absolute favorite is the Anastasia Beverly Hills x Amrezy Highlighter. It is the perfect champagne gold. It’s probably one of the most blinding highlighters I have. I also am obsessed with Burberry’s Fresh Glow Highlighter in shade Rose Gold. It is one of the few rose gold highlighters I can actually pull off. It has a light enough base to work on my fair skin. It has such a beautiful finish and I love pairing this highlight with the days I wear purple or green eyeshadow, (Which is almost everyday).

I hope this post was helpful to anyone out there! Down below I will have a picture of the products I mentioned in case you want to pick them up. I like being able to see what someone is talking about personally so I thought it could be helpful. πŸ™‚
