Ive never been one to have a journal or diary until a few months ago. I don’t know if you have ever heard of the wonderful Rachel Hollis but, if not you clearly live under a rock. I read her book Girl, Wash Your Face last year after it came out and it really affected me in a great way. She mentioned how every morning she will do her morning routine which includes writing down 5 things she is grateful for and 10 dreams she made happen. I was very intrigued to say the least. Eventually she launched her product where you can do this as well called the Start Today Journal. As soon as it launched I snagged it up.
When I tell you how important it is to narrow your focus I mean it. She talks about it a lot in her book and on her podcast and it really resonated with me. I’m that person who feels like if they aren’t doing everything then it just isn’t enough. One of my major focuses has been on blogging, especially on Instagram. I would love to make it a career one day so I decided to try out her journal. Your ten dreams that you made happen revolve around your one goal and what it will take to achieve it. Ever since I started doing this I have seen some major changes in my life and I’m finally making fantastic progress towards my goal! I like how she tells you to write your dreams like they already happened. She said that when you tell yourself you want to do something your brain thinks of it as a to-do list. Ever since I changed my mindset and how I think like I already accomplished my goals everything has changed.
